8 Habits and Productive Ways to Improve Your Life.
Best proven methods or habits and also productive ways to improve your life.
If you ever feel like you need steering in the right direction, then here are the basics that ultimately create the foundations for an edited life.
These eight-key beliefs govern all chapters of this blog, and we’ll revisit them time and time again; think of this as your mission statement / moral compass mash-up.
Quality Over Quantity
Always. Aim to live with an edited amount of high-quality possessions and goods that are either used often or add value to your life in some say.
STOP. BUYING. SHIT.
In the same vein as the above, make purchases that are based on your needs, instead of wants. TREAT YOURSELF occasionally, but try to unplug from a constantly consuming lifestyle.
Planning is Key
Not only do well-thought-out plans help to spurus on to think about the bigger picture, they make it easier to structure realistic and attainable goals that, when ticked off, make us feel like we’re actually getting stuff done.
NO – THE MAGIC WORD
Know when it’s right to carve out time for you and avoid spreading yourself too thin Respect your schedule and learn when it’s best, both physically and mentally, to say no.
A TIDY HOME = A TIDY MIND
You’re your belongings are in order then there’s less chance of procrastination and physical clutter getting in the way of tasks that you actually need to complete.
SLEEP. A LOT.
It’s amazing what we can achieve when we’re fully rested. Aim for eight hours a night if possible. Beyonce eat your heart out.
Aside from being a nice human, make sure you treat yourself with the love and respect that you deserve. Move more. Eat well. Rest up (yes; I will be banging on a lot about sleep).
DO MORE OF WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
That’s the end goal here. Through tweaking the organizational aspects of your life, work and home, space will appear for you to spend more time doing whatever the hell it is that makes you the happiest.
ASK YOURSELF THIS FIRST.
Lock yourself away for a 10 minutes sit-down, or take yourself off for a walk and think about where you’re currently at in life, with work and in your home.
- What areas of your life do you feel need a shift?
- What aspects have you got completely down?
- Are there some parts that you feel like you should tweak but really can’t be arsed?
